The ARMA Arkansas Chapter have completed the electionprocess and have nominated JR Dew, Vice President and General Manager ofSecurity Archives of Arkansas, LLC, as President of the Chapter for theupcoming 2010-2011 year. The ArkansasARMA Chapter is organized to serve as an advocate for the Records andInformation Management community and as a vital resource for RIM professionalswithin the state of Arkansas.
“I am looking forward to serving as President of the Chapter and continuing to provide educational programs, promote records management development, and encourage networking among our members”,stated Jr Dew, VP of Operations and General Manager.
ARMA International is a not for profit professionalorganization and the authority on managing records and information – paper andelectronic. The association wasestablished in 1955 and has approximately 11,000 members including recordsmanagers, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legalprofessionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators all of whom work in awide variety of industries, including government, legal, healthcare, financialservices, and petroleum in the United States, Canada, and 30-plus other countries. The association also develops and publishesstandards and guidelines related to records management . It was a key contributor to the internationalrecords management standard, ISO-15489.
